Welcome to dentith & dentith dental practice

outside-dentithWelcome to our practice where we look forward to providing you and your family with high quality service and an emphasis to preventive dental care.

We are a second generation family ran practice established in 1982 by Mr and Mrs Dentith. Over time the practice has expanded into a busy five surgery general dental practice.

In 2013 Mr and Mrs Dentith retired and the practice was taken over by their daughter Grace and son in law Gareth, who continue to manage it to the same high standards and with the same values and ethos which with it was created.

We offer modern comfortable facilities in a calm and friendly environment on the ground and first floors. We also offer conscious sedation treatment for anxious patients.

We are a predominately private practice and we recommend the Denplan Care Scheme to all our adult patients. Denplan allows us to offer a complete preventive care programme and is the UK’s largest independent dental health plan.

In addition, we are able to provide NHS treatment for children under the age of 18 and 18 if in full-time education.

Covid-19 Update

Since the end of March the practice has remained open and has been working hard to continue to provide the best service to our patients that we have been able to deliver under constantly changing restrictions and guidance from our regulatory bodies.

Our top priority has always been to operate a safe and efficient dental practice for all our patients, our staff and our wider community.

Although we remain open in our normal advertised hours we are limited in capacity in what we can offer due to enhanced cleaning regimes and social distancing policies we are following.

We can still offer treatment for patients who need it but due to the fact that after every time a dental instrument creating water spray is used that surgery must be left closed and empty for one hour in order to allow for any aerosol to settle before it can be cleaned we obviously cannot see as many patients as we could before this outbreak.

We are not currently sending out routine recall appointments for general care at present although potentially we are able to see check-ups and hygienist appointments for patients who contact us.

You will note some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We are making these changes and revising our protocols to help protect you, our patients, and our team.
